How The Breach was Discovered:

On August 22nd, 2023, around 5:00 PM (Japan local time), we detected through a notification from a security vendor that there was a post on an overseas website indicating a security breach. After investigation, we have confirmed there was a leak of customers’ personal information.

Details of the Leaked Information:

Customer Data including Name, Customer ID, Phone number, Email Address, Address, Nickname, etc.

Number of Customers Affected by this Incident:

All Customers who accessed our website Carused.jp up until June 2023
(Currently estimated to be 162,000 cases. As we export and sell used vehicles in Japan, our customer base mainly resides overseas.)

We are currently continuing our investigation. Regarding Carused.jp, we have already implemented measures to block external access. We will continue to disclose any necessary information on our company’s website as it becomes available. Additionally, we will promptly assess the details and scope of the leak while consulting with the police and other relevant parties and take appropriate measures and preventive actions.
